Project: Mantua Elementary School, Interactive Distance Learning Center

The Interactive Distance Learning Center at Mantua Elementary School is a unique environment for students to learn how to use the latest technologies as well as practice writing and speaking skills. The center is set up so that students can broadcast school and local news to anywhere in the building. A Rear Projection SMART Board interactive whiteboard is used not only to display information, but as an interactive tool for students during a broadcast and for teachers at other times. Teachers can use the SMART Board interactive whiteboard for lessons as well as for conferences with parents or other teachers. This gives the whole school the opportunity to use the SMART Board interactive boards capabilities whenever they need them.
