Project: Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center Award: SMART Expression 303 mobile multimedia cabinet Location: Dallas, TX

This meeting space upgrade was recently completed at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center in Dallas. The room was rewired with digital flooring that conceals CAT5E data connections and electricity for up to 50 people in a myriad of settings. Digital flooring is a low false floor that conceals 85 data ports and electrical outlets. This enables customers to use a myriad of layouts and room configurations and always have access to power and data at their feet. 

A patch panel in the closet delivers high speed Internet access to all ports and enables projection from any point in the room to a Rear Projection SMART Board interactive whiteboard built into the front wall. 

Customers can set up the room as a training center one morning and a collaboration center that afternoon. The SMART Board interactive whiteboard gives the property a valuable way to use the T-1 connectivity in the meeting room. The room's design is ideal for Web casting and other Internet-enabled work such as Web conferencing and on line learning. The room is also equipped with simple desktop connections for power and data and can be easily reconfigured for multiple uses during a conference.
